About Rugby Conservative Association
We are a fast growing and active association with membership made up of local people from all walks of life, who believe in progressive conservative values and who campaign and work hard all year round to get Conservative Party representatives elected to Westminster, Europe and to our local Councils.
To support our campaigns within the constituency, we hold regular fundraising, political and social events throughout the year, often attended by MP's, MEP's and Councillors (see our Events Section). If you are a Conservative supporter, why not become a member or friend of Rugby Conservative Association?
About the constituency of Rugby
The constituency of Rugby has approximately 70,000 electors from all of the wards within Rugby Borough Council (with the exception of Dunchurch & Knightlow, Leam Valley and Ryton-on-Dunsmore, which come under the Kenilworth & Southam constituency) and the ward of Bulkinton from Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council.
Our Conservative Member of Parliament is Mark Pawsey, who was elected in May 2010 with a majority of exactly 6000. In Europe we are represented by three Conservative MEPs, Malcolm Harbour, Philip Bradbourn OBE and Anthea McIntyre.
Across the constituency there are nine Conservative County Councillors, two Conservatives Borough Councillors in Bulkington (part of Nuneaton & Bedworth Brough Council) and 24 Conservative Councillors on Rugby Borough Council.
